Security attacks Khaled's rally

I learned a new word today: Wihishiyyat a-shortta.

Police brutality.

Security attacks Khaled's rally

The Egyptian Constitution:

Art.54:  Citizens shall have the right to peaceful and unarmed private assembly, without the need for prior notice. Such private meetings should not be attended by security men. Public meetings, processions and gatherings shall be allowed within the limits of the law.

I wish I could say I am surprised at the political contradiction. Declaring emergency laws 30 years ago apparently renders this law null and void.

There will be more protests in town tomorrow in a neighborhood called Sidi Gaber, where the kid was beaten to death. I heart autocracy.
